Formlabs Form 3B printer
Advanced Desktop Biomedical 3D Printer
Ideal for the dental industry and 3D printing healthcare models, the Formlabs Form 3B can transform the way you work with biocompatible materials. Suitable for anyone looking to build medical device prototypes, jigs & fixtures and end-use parts, the printer is not only suitable for the Formlabs biocompatible resins but also the complete SLA materials library. Offering the fine details the medical professionals require to create models for surgical planning, the versatile Form 3B is also suited to low volume commercial production. There are many applications for biocompatible materials, and we can advise you on how this machine can support your medical, research and biomedical engineering needs. With a small footprint, this advanced desktop 3D printer is easy to use and maintain and comes with Preform, the free print preparation software. It produces brilliant printing results thanks to the Low Force Stereolithography (LFS) technology.
- Choose from over ten dedicated, biocompatible materials.
- A resin fill system based on swappable cartridges, easily enables you to switch between Formlabs resins.
- Machine investment can payback in as little as seven weeks.
- Print three times more in a single print compared to small Digital Light Processing (DLP) printers, Form 3B can run 24/7 with smart sensors and remote printing.
- Machine parts can be easily replaced by you.
- Low Force Stereolithography technology uses a flexible resin tank and a light processing unit to produce excellent quality, smooth, accurate parts
- High resolution, 5.5-inch touch screen makes it easy to control the machine.
- Use the Form Wash and Form Cure to automate the rinsing and curing process, simplifying post-processing.
Built for Production
Print 2-3 times more parts in a single build compared to small build plate DLP printers to spend less time handling your printer and more time on high-value tasks. Production environments can see 55% less labour time and costs compared to DLP. A modular ecosystem allows for unmatched consistency, scalability, and redundancy.
Formlabs’ Form 3B 3D printer achieves the same precision as large-format dental 3D printers costing £35,000 or more. See and feel the quality first hand: Choose from the standard materials or biocompatible resins and we’ll send you a free sample part 3D printed on a Form 3B for evaluation.
The Next Generation of Dental 3D Printing
Advanced Low Force Stereolithography (LFS)TM technologies use one flexible resin tank with a fully configurable user-replaceable LPU for consistent, accurate prints. Reduced peel pressure results in a fantastic surface finish and part clarity right from print.
Low cost, fast return on investment
As opposed to outsourcing, the switch to digital can impact on your business and return on investment – even if you have only need a few digital models daily.
A robust 3D printing ecosystem
Custom fabrication using 3D printers is simple through Formlabs’ Preform software and automatic post-processing options.
Surgical Guide Resin
Formlabs’ biocompatible Surgical Guide Resin has passed all the tests required for use as 3D printed surgical guides for implant alignment. The resin is autoclavable and is also suitable for 3D printing drilling and device sizing templates.
Full Arch Orthodontic Model
Using the Draft Grey resin, the Form 3B is capable of printing a dental model in under 20 minutes. You can use the 200 micron setting for faster print speeds and same-day appliances, or use the 100 micron setting for more detailed models. The resultant smooth surface finish makes Draft Resin the ideal material for use in dental fabrication, for example, aligner and retainer production. With the print setup, you choose the layer thickness for your dental applications.
The perfect finish
Form Wash and Form Cure streamline the process, reducing waste and effort.
